Easter

This past weekend the girls had lots of outdoor fun.
We went to the annual Easter egg hunt for TeamMates.
Can I eat more candy, Daddy?!
After the girls went to the IBC Easter Concert (which they LOVED), we had our annual neighborhood egg hunt and potluck. These kids are going up so fast!
Sunday morning the girls and I made this Easter bread. They learned about rising dough, which they liked to Jesus rising on the same day. We are amazed that Jesus obeyed His Father to the point of death. A sinless man taking on the sins of the world so that we may be redeemed.
What a glorious day!
After church we headed to Auntie L and Uncle David's for the evening.
It was really great to spend time with them and Julie and Derek.
One more egg hunt!

Love these three! Thanks Mimi for the beautiful dresses!!
Team Johnson all dressed up.
The Lord has been so good to give me these girls.

More Spring Break

We surprised the girls by taking them to the circus. What fun!
I loved watching the expressions on their faces.
Geneva loved the lions and tigers.
Loving life with my girls.
That night we had dinner outside with the Whites.
What's not to love about sticky s'mores?!

Spring Break at the Lake

We spent the first few days of the girls' spring break at the Pinkston's lake house.
It was such a blast to be with them!
Of course the adults had to play! That's me, Jesse, and Erica.
And the kids turn- Sophie, Maddie, Geneva, and Bode.
Even the pups came out on the boat ride.
Just paddle boarding. I love how G chilled out on the board.
Maddie take the wheel! She was a great driver.
Canoe fun.

And there were chicks! This made G very happy :)
Naps in the hammock with Maddie- so relaxing!
 And a little fishing.
The kids enjoyed jumping off the boat for a swim.
Jesse loved throwing the kids off the tube.
And we lit a lantern and watched it soar into the night sky.
Thanks Pinkston's for having us- we're thankful for you!

Grandpa's Visit

Jesse's dad came in for a visit and we had a great time with him! One of the highlights was that he was able to be Savannah's show and tell at school.
Grandpa also visited Maddie at recess. We had Chick fil A together.
Grandpa did some bike work for the girls and Jesse.
I love watching Jesse and his dad together. Here they are looking at a half in the yard.
Thanks for coming Grandpa! We miss you!

Tree Trimming and St. Patrick's DayW

It was mesmerizing for Geneva to watch the tree trimming crew take out 2 of our dead trees.
Jesse asked the guys to leave us the wood. So, Dale and Sarah came over with their splitter and we took care of business! Maddie was a great helper!

We took a Chick-Fil-A break, of course!
And then Jesse went back at it for several more hours. We have some wood for next winter :)
This is one of my favorite times of the day. Story time with Daddy.

Geneva loves playing with her baby while the girls are at school.
We had green milk on St. Patrick's Day!
Maddie had a heritage festival at school, so I was able to help out with the Ireland booth.
We love Mrs. Anthony!
While we were at school, Geneva, Savannah, and Naomi played. They are BFF's :)

Massanutten

So the day after I got back from AZ, we packed bags again and all headed two and a half hours away for some family time. About a month ago we "won" a free 2 nights at this time share. Of course we had to listen to someone (for 2 1/2 hours) trying HARD to sell us a time share, but we didn't budge.
So happy to be home with this guy!
 And these girls.
We did a couple hikes. We just love being outside!
And we went to the indoor water park.
 My little mermaid
 And little fish
One night we had dinner at the base of the ski slopes. The girls loved watching the skiers.
It was the first time they've ever seen that!
And the last day the little ones rode ponies.
We were thankful for this little getaway. We treasure time together and good conversations.
Now Jesse is back in CA for Shepherd's Conference. I'm so glad he's able to go with a large group of men fro ur church- it's always a very edifying week for the guys. Seems like some one's always coming or going these days :)
