Christmas Eve

The girls decorated bags for their stockings this year.

Sweet Aunt Melissa occupied Geneva with pictures of animals!
Emma helped me make pretzels and kisses and M&M treats.
Charis was my peanut butter blossoms helper.
The dads took the girls to Great Falls for the afternoon while the moms cooked for Christmas.
They came back pretty quickly after having several great falls- Ben, Charis, and Emma all fell!
So it was time for some change of clothes.
Geneva fell asleep after our Christmas Eve service at church. Sweet baby.
 Christmas cookies!
 Yum!
The girls and Mimi watched White Christmas.
Then it was slumber party time!
Melissa and I get the living room ready...
   Ready for Christmas morning!

Fun Times...

We went to the Bureau of Engraving a Printing one day with the James and my dad.
It was really quite interesting to hear and see how money is made.
 Papa and his girls.
We enjoyed our rainy walk to the National Museum of American History.

The Star Spangled Banner section was quite interesting.
The girls also liked seeing the First Ladies dresses :)
 That evening we played charades!
 Tired baby with her lovies!
Haha!
Who wants to play M&M Christmas BINGO?!

Quick Trip to Boston

My parent's generously bought the 3 of us ladies tickets to fly to Boston for 24 hours to visit Aunt Dottie and the Crams. We definitely were flying on fumes- we were pretty tired after getting up at 3:30am to catch our flights both days.
We were able to bring Aunt Dottie her Christmas gifts and visit with her.
It was wonderful to see her and encourage her. She is such a trooper at 103 years old!
She loved the book of memories my mom made.
Then we got her all wrapped up to stay cozy and took her to Aunt Jennifer's house for pizza.
 Three generations.
Thanks men for taking care of the fourth generation of girls while we were away!

More Time with Cousins...

Craft time. Each girl made a Christmas tree ornament out of craft sticks that say
"For unto us a child is born!"
We've had lots of big meals lately- thankful for our BIG table.
 Advent with all the girls.
 Nail time.
More crafts...reindeer masks!
The girls wore the masks to watch the light and water fountain show at the Gaylord Hotel by the Potomac Harbor.

 Thanks Papa.
The Peeps Store is so fun, even though we don't like them.

 Ice Cream!!

 This is my favorite reindeer.
Mimi and her little "deers".

Sunday School!
We had a blast ice skating outside in Georgetown.
The little ones loved using the penguins.

Last Days of School...

Papa and Mimi are here and helped with our last day of school. We read
Snowmen at Night and wrote what we would do if we were a snowman at night.
Maddie would jump in the trampoline in the snow!
 Christmas Go Fish with Papa.
 We made a gingerbread house.
 Yum! We love treats :)
Thanks Papa for the bedtime stories!
