Gardening and Picnics

We've had such fun gardening during this trip with Papa and Mimi.
Savannah used her new shovel and gloves!
We put down a truckload of wood chips in the front yard.
Another day we planted flowers in pots in the back yard.
These flowers are so gorgeous. God's beauty in creation is astounding.
After gardening we had a fun picnic tea together!
The girls love jumping in princess dresses!
Geneva enjoys being outside, too :)
Our Beatrix Potter themed tea included stories, lemonade, and cupcakes!

    Yummy lemon cupcakes!

Happy Easter!

We had a wonderful Sunday worshipping God together. Both girls sat in church with my dad and I.

Thanks Miss Penny for the super fun Easter baskets! We've already gardened :)

That afternoon we enjoyed a walk around Green Springs Park. What  great day to remember the sacrifice God made to save us from our sins.

Easter Egg Hunt

We were all so happy Papa was here for the TeamMates Easter egg hunt this year. Mimi is here too, but has the flu. She was quarantined in the basement :)
After Savannah found each egg, she wanted to open it and see what was inside before finding more.
 Lots of candy!
 Friends.

 My favorite.
That same afternoon we had another egg hunt with our neighborhood. My girls love Tessa!
Here's the crew!

The girls were thrilled to watch Frozen with Papa!

Lighthouses and More Vacation

The next 2 days were way too cold and raining on and off to hang out at the beach, so we drove the island. Geneva was such a good traveler!
This was my favorite lighthouse- so beautiful!
Of course, Jesse had the National Park book, so the girls got another stamp added to their collection.

 My lil chicks.
When it stopped raining, we went to play on the beach for a little bit. Poor Maddie fell in and got completely wet in her clothes. She didn't mind much. She had to drive home for an hour in a towel :)
Rock climbing :)

And jumping...
We got to climb the next lighthouse we visited.
It was so windy at the top!

Love this.
That evening we did our Resurrection Eggs. Maddie made these in school. The 12 days leading up to Easter you open an egg that has verses and corresponding things that represent aspects of Jesus' death and resurrection (the last egg is empty- just like the tomb!). Makes for great discussion with the girls!
Before the drive home, we made it to Duck Donuts. This place is amazing.
 YUM.
The drive home was so beautiful. I love Spring. We stopped in Yorktown for another National Park stamp, then made it home in 6 hours!
