Merry Christmas

Here's Emma playing with our gift to her!
The morning started off with a little breakfast. We had a delicious egg dish and cinnamon rolls. Everyone was wearing their new PJ's.
Some morning snuggles...

Stockings!
Maddie's first candy cane (the wrapper is still on :)
Present time!
Charis and Emma's new bean bags and PJ's.
Papa and Daddy got mugs from Madison.
Aunt Dottie recieved a Maddie picture.
Aunt Melissa put together the perfect gift- a picture book with all of our family members' pictures!
Toys from Mimi and Papa!
A Christmas  book from Aunt Jennifer.
An adorable outfit from Aunt Dottie.
What would Christmas be without some napping?
And playing with new toys?
Dressing up like Mrs. Claus!
(thanks for the outfit GiGi)
Then we had dinner, which had been in the smoker all day. Uncle Ben made a pork loin with artichoke stuffing- it was the best dinner!
That evening we started a new tradition....we are having our family members read a story of their choice to Madison and recording it. That way, she can hear them read her a bedtime story, even when they live in a different state. Everyone took a turn. It was really fun! Aunt Dottie read The Very Quiet Cricket. Uncle Ben read There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly. Aunt Melissa read Moo, Baa, LaLaLa. Papa read a Christmas story.
And Mimi read The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Madison LOVES hearing stories- she's so attentive!
